“Christ is risen, He is risen indeed! Oh, sing hallelujah.

Join the chorus, sing with the redeemed;

Christ is risen, He is risen indeed.”

“CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!”

How can it be, the One who died, Has borne our sin through sacrifice

To conquer every sting of death? Sing, sing hallelujah.

For joy awakes as dawning light When Christ's disciples lift their eyes.

Alive He stands, their Friend and King; Christ, Christ He is risen.

Where doubt and darkness once had been, They saw Him and their hearts believed.

But blessed are those who have not seen, Yet sing hallelujah.

Once bound by fear now bold in faith, They preached the truth and power of grace.

And pouring out their lives they gained Life, life everlasting.

The power that raised Him from the grave Now works in us to powerfully save.

He frees our hearts to live His grace; Go tell of His goodness.

He's alive, He's alive! Heaven's gates are opened wide. He's alive, He's alive! Now in heaven glorified.

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. ”

1 Corinthians 3:5-9

PRAISE OF THE PEOPLE

Why do we sing with our church? As God's people gather for worship, whether in person or online, we focus our attention on goodness, truth, and beauty of God by singing together. We respond with thanksgiving to God, because we have hope. And we sing because it is the best and most complete response that we can utter.

Pastor Lorraine Anderson is a force of joy wherever she goes. A legacy member of South End Church, she has served the church and city of Boston faithfully through her life’s work. While she calls our church ‘home’, P. Lorraine worships and serves regularly with our brothers and sisters at Church of the Advent, Boston.

KINGDOM SPOTLIGHT

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8.32

“Unaddressed childhood trauma changes how we respond to the world and when triggered, we make choices that sometimes have devastating consequences including domestic violence, addiction, murder and prison.”

“SEEDS OF THE KINGDOM” :: Mark 4.26-34

(READ ALOUD) “26 He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”  30 Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
33 With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand. 34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.”

PSALM 126 - BIFROST ARTS

Our mouths they were filled, filled with laughter
Our tongues they were loosed, loosed with joy
Restore us, O Lord
Restore us, O Lord

Although we are weeping
Lord, help us keep sowing
The seeds of Your Kingdom
For the day You will reap them
Your sheaves we will carry
Lord, please do not tarry
All those who sow weeping will go out with songs of joy

The nations will say, "He has done great things!"
The nations will sing songs of joy
Restore us, O Lord
Restore us, O Lord
